Zinc Sulphate 33% corrects zinc deficiency in crops. Supplies 33% zinc + 15% sulphur. Used three ways — soil application at 4–5 kg/acre, foliar spray at 3–5 g/litre, and seed treatment at 3–4 g/kg seed.

Zinc 33% fertilizer supplies plant-available zinc to alkaline, sandy and high-phosphorus soils that lock zinc up. It restores chlorophyll and auxin production, preventing yellowing, stunted growth and poor grain filling.

No single brand is "best". Buy any FCO-grade material assaying minimum 33% zinc. Check three things on the pack — printed zinc assay, FCO licence number, and cost per kg of actual zinc.

Apply 4–5 kg/acre at last ploughing or sowing, mixed with dry sand or FYM. For standing crops, spray 3–5 g/litre at 20–25 days after sowing, again after 25 days, and at flowering.

Zinc sulfate is also called white vitriol or zinc vitriol; the natural heptahydrate mineral is goslarite. Formula ZnSO₄. In India it is sold as zinc sulphate monohydrate (33% Zn) or heptahydrate (21% Zn).

You don't — 33% is the zinc content, not the spray strength. Correct spray is 3–5 g per litre of water (45–75 g per 15-litre knapsack). Add 2.5 g lime or 10 g urea per litre to prevent leaf scorch.

No. Zinc reacts with phosphate to form insoluble zinc phosphate, wasting both nutrients. Keep a gap of at least 10–15 days between the two soil applications, or apply them in separate bands.

Only phosphorus-free grades. Urea, MOP and SOP are safe — urea at 10 g/litre is a standard foliar partner. Avoid 10:26:26, 12:32:16, 19:19:19 and DAP, which lock zinc into insoluble zinc phosphate.
