About Product

Katyayani Zinco Grow (Zinc EDTA 12%) is a premium-quality chelated micronutrient fertilizer designed to correct and prevent zinc deficiency in crops. The EDTA (Ethylene Diamine Tetraacetic Acid) chelation ensures that zinc remains fully soluble and bioavailable to plants even under adverse soil pH conditions. It plays a vital role in various enzymatic, hormonal, and metabolic activities within the plant, Improving chlorophyll production, overall crop health and yield. Suitable for use in all major field and horticultural crops, this formulation can be used via foliar spray or drip/drenching methods.

Chelated Zinc (as Zn-EDTA)

Mode of Action

Zinc EDTA enters the plant system through foliar absorption or root uptake (via drip/drenching) and is translocated to growing parts. Zinc functions as a co-factor in several enzyme systems that regulate auxin (growth hormone) synthesis, protein metabolism, and chlorophyll formation. This enables healthy leaf development, strong root systems, and uniform crop growth. Chelation with EDTA prevents zinc fixation in the soil, ensuring higher nutrient efficiency.

Key Features & Benefits

  • 100% water-soluble and chelated for quick absorption
  • Corrects and prevents zinc deficiency in crops
  • Enhances chlorophyll production and early leaf greening
  • Boosts photosynthesis and protein synthesis
  • Improves crop yield, plant immunity, and root development
  • Works efficiently in high pH and saline soils

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Katyayani Zinco Grow (Zinc EDTA 12%) Fertilizer? +

Katyayani Zinco Grow is a chelated zinc micronutrient fertilizer containing 12% zinc as Zn-EDTA, supplied as free-flowing water-soluble microgranules. It corrects zinc deficiency through foliar spray at 200 g per acre or drip application at 500 g per acre.

What is EDTA fertilizer? +

An EDTA fertilizer is a micronutrient in which the metal is bound to EDTA, a chelating agent that protects it from being locked up in soil. Common grades include Zinc EDTA 12%, Ferrous EDTA 12% and Manganese EDTA, all fully water-soluble.

What is the purpose of zinc EDTA 12% fertilizer? +

The purpose of Zinc EDTA 12% is to deliver zinc in a form the crop can absorb even in alkaline soils, where plain zinc sulphate gets fixed and becomes unavailable. It corrects deficiency quickly at a fraction of the sulphate dose.

What is zinc EDTA used for? +

Zinc EDTA is used to correct and prevent zinc deficiency in paddy, cotton, maize, sugarcane, groundnut, chilli, vegetables and horticultural crops. Symptoms include small leaves, short internodes, interveinal yellowing on young leaves and poor grain filling.

What is the price of 12% zinc EDTA? +

Katyayani Zinco Grow Zinc EDTA 12% is ₹355 for 500 g and ₹638 for 1 kg, falling to about ₹446 per kg in the 25 kg pack. At 200 g per acre foliar, that is roughly ₹90 to ₹140 per acre.

What is ferrous EDTA 12% used for? +

Ferrous EDTA 12% corrects iron deficiency, which shows as yellowing between green veins on the youngest leaves. It is a different product from zinc EDTA. Note that Fe-EDTA loses stability above pH 6.5, so Fe-EDDHA suits strongly alkaline soils better.

What is EDTA full form? +

EDTA stands for ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid. It is a synthetic chelating agent that wraps around a metal ion such as zinc or iron, holding it in a soluble, plant-available form and preventing it from reacting with soil and becoming fixed.

What is EDTA commonly used for? +

In agriculture EDTA is used to chelate micronutrients such as zinc, iron, manganese and copper so they stay plant-available. Outside farming it is used in food preservation, water treatment, detergents and as a medical chelating agent for heavy-metal poisoning.

Is EDTA good for plants? +

EDTA is not a nutrient itself — it is a carrier that keeps the micronutrient available. At label rates it is safe and effective for crops. It is synthetic and slow to break down, so use recommended doses rather than over-applying.

What is the role of EDTA in agriculture? +

EDTA's role in agriculture is to protect micronutrients from soil fixation. Zinc, iron and manganese normally react with carbonates and phosphates and become unavailable; chelated with EDTA they stay soluble and are absorbed by roots and leaves.

What is the price of 1 kg of zinc EDTA? +

One kilogram of Zinc EDTA 12% costs roughly ₹450 to ₹1,300 in India depending on brand and pack size. Katyayani Zinco Grow is ₹638 per kg, and about ₹446 per kg when bought in the 25 kg pack.

Who are the manufacturers of zinc EDTA in India? +

Indian manufacturers and marketers of Zinc EDTA 12% include Katyayani Organics, Utkarsh Agrochem, Legend Agro India, ASES Chem, Prions Biotech, Green Planet India and Pushpaj Shah Chemicals. Check that any pack states FCO Schedule 1(g) compliance and 12% minimum zinc.
